I tried to lose weight on many occasions before I was finally successful, and believe me, it was not the most enjoyable time of my life. My appetite was ravenous, I hardly exercised, and I was getting bigger and bigger and needed to do something. The next thing that I tried was the no carbs diet, where all that I ate was meat and vegetables. I was able to get pretty full on this diet because I was taking in more protein with the all the meat I was eating, but I soon discovered, on one of my regular doctor’s visits, that my cholesterol was high. I nixed that diet and decided to move on.

I tried a few other programs that I felt would help me lose weight, but nothing really worked. I talked to my doctor, who informed me that the best weight loss program for me, or anyone, was diet and exercise. He said that there is no easy way around it, and that it is actually a very straightforward and simple solution. Eat fewer calories and burn more calories through exercise. He also encouraged me to try to understand the reasons that I overeat. Once I did those things, I was able to take the weight off and keep it off for good!

I am not sure what the best weight loss program is for everyone else out there, but for me, it was diet and exercise. It is safe, healthy, and has had lasting effects, and I believe that if I can do it, anyone can do it!
