I have found that one of the benefits of blogging is that it helps me trigger and release my imagination. The creativity of the mind is astounding, and learning to use that creativity to benefit me is an ongoing project.
Because blogging is similar to keeping a diary or journaling, I like the ability to write without being graded as you would be in school. That’s not entirely true because blogging is public on the web, a diary or journal is stored in private. But both are the product of the mind, which is the most private of all storage. When the imagination develops into formalized thinking, then something should be done with it. When it turns into action then it has substance.
I have found that imagination and blogging have given me another avenue of enjoyment in life. It is a release of creativity with a purpose!
